TAP Master Teacher Aimee Schade and Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, visit a fifth-grade classroom at West Goshen after Schade's surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Lowell asks the students whether they're thinking of becoming teachers; half of them raise their hands. One of the goals of the Milken Educator Awards is to reinforce the importance of excellent teachers in the eyes of students and encourage the next generation to consider careers in teaching.
