Milken Educator Award recipient Amara Alexander (left) shares a happy moment after her surprise notification with her very proud mother, Dr. Tammy Alexander, who became an Alabama Milken Educator herself in 1998. "It's pretty cool when it's you," Amara's mother told AL.com in an interview, "but the feeling is way better when it's your child."
