Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, explains to the assembly that after scouring 100,000 schools and 3 million teachers across the U.S., the Milken Educator Awards team has chosen one outstanding teacher in Michigan to receive the Award this year — and that teacher is right here at Haslett High School.
