University Alma Maters Honor John Melandro (NY ’24) for Excellence in Education

John Melandro (NY ’24) has been recognized by both his university alma maters, St. Joseph’s University and Stony Brook University, for excellence in education. In fall 2025, Melandro received St. Joseph’s Alumni Excellence Award, an honor bestowed upon “the best of St. Joseph’s” for their “impressive achievements” and “incredible impact” on their communities. A profile video highlighted his work to build lifelong learners. In fall 2026, Melandro will be acknowledged by Stony Brook University as part of its 2026 class of 40 Under Forty alumni graduates—those who are “redefining what’s possible in their professions and beyond.”
