Dr. Trey Duke (TN '08) Named Mid-Cumberland Superintendent of the Year

Dr. Trey Duke (TN ‘08) was named the Mid-Cumberland Superintendent of the Year on April 25, 2025, by the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS). One superintendent from each of Tennessee’s eight regions is awarded annually. Dr. Duke was selected by his fellow superintendents in the Mid-Cumberland region for his outstanding leadership, commitment to student success and dedication to public education, according to the Murfreesboro City Schools press release. Duke’s honor reflects his effectiveness in leadership for learning, communication, professionalism, and community involvement – four key criteria used to evaluate nominees for state superintendent of the year.
