Alice Bertels (KS ’00) is 2014 Kansas History Day Teacher of the Year

Alice Bertels (KS ’00) received the 2014 Kansas History Day Teacher of the Year Award at the State History Day competition held at Washburn University in Topeka. The accolade puts her in the running for the National History Day Competition held at the University of Maryland. Alice’s success is mirrored in her students, three of whom received top honors at Kansas State History Day and will move on with their teacher to compete at the national level in June.
