Tom Fleming (MI '92) died November 4, 2010, at 77 years old. He was known for his 20 years of work in the Washtenaw County juvenile detention center in Ann Arbor, MI. Fleming was recognized as Michigan Teacher of the Year for 1991 by the Michigan State Board of Education and honored as Teacher of the Year in 1992 by the Council of Chief State School Officers and Encyclopedia Britannica Inc.
