Nancy Burkland (ND ’92) has passed away at age 81. She was an elementary principal in Fargo at the time of her Milken Award. In her career, Nancy served as president and editor of the North Dakota Elementary Principals Organization and was on the boards of the Teacher Professional Practices Commission and North Central Association of North Dakota. She was a member of North Dakota's first class of Milken Educators.
