Dr. Sandra Truitt Robinson (MI '90) has passed away at age 73. At the time of her Milken Award, she was principal of Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School in Detroit and was recognized for her leadership in pioneering the school's educational renaissance. Dr. Robinson nurtured the development and implementation of two magnet programs: the Mathematics, Science and Technology Program and the Center for International Studies and Commerce. M. L. King Jr. High School was one of 15 secondary schools recognized as exemplary by the state of Michigan. Dr. Robinson served the Detroit Public Schools for 25 years.
