W. Cecil Short (MD '93) has passed away. When he received his Milken Award, Cecil was the principal at Oxon Hill High School. He had previously served in the Army, taught math and coached basketball and football. Cecil was named Maryland's Principal of the Year and was the first African American to become president of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
