Nicolas Jacques, You're a NV Milken Educator

 

 

Students, colleagues and guests are eager to hear from Nicolas Jacques. He shares some thoughts with the crowd gathered to witness his career-changing Milken Educator Award surprise. "We have 240 students in the band program, and I still say that's not enough," says Nicolas. He then thanks his own band teacher, who at age 89 has been teaching for 63 years and still brings his jazz band to compete in the Reno Jazz Festival every year.
