After the assembly, Milken Educator Awards founder Lowell Milken talks with students in Kelly Ryan's classroom. "I'm really big on application and critical thinking," Kelly said of her instructional approach. "I give them the foundation, but then I expect them to take that and apply it to something brand new. That's really where you learn to think."
