Katie Mace (NE '21) | Lyons-Decatur Northeast High School | Lyons, NE | Apr 28, 2022It's an exciting day at Lyons-Decatur Northeast! Nebraska Lieutenant Governor Mike Foley and Commissioner of Education Dr. Matthew L. Blomstedt are visiting to commend students and staff on their resilience throughout the pandemic. But there's also a surprise in store for one outstanding educator. When Milken Educator Awards Vice President Stephanie Bishop presents English teacher Katie Mace with the first ever Milken Award in Lyons-Decatur Northeast Schools and $25,000, the day quickly becomes one the teacher will never forget.
