Suisun Elementary School has rolled out the red carpet for California Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson and Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Superintendent Kris Corey, who have joined the morning's all-school assembly to talk about the school's trauma-informed approach. But they've got an unexpected guest waiting in the wings: Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, who surprises second-grade teacher Jessica Villanueva with a 2016-17 Milken Educator Award and $25,000.
