Emily Rendine Wins First Milken Award of 2022-23 Season

It's a great day to celebrate "Hennessey Heroes" in East Providence! Rhode Island Commissioner of Education Angélica Infante-Green, Governor Daniel McKee and Lieutenant Governor Sabina Matos are visiting Hennessey Elementary to celebrate the school's community partnerships—but there's another reason, too. When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presents third grade teacher Emily Rendine with Rhode Island's Milken Award and $25,000, no one is more surprised than the educator herself.
