Meet 2023-24 IL Milken Educator Comfort Agboola

 

Students and colleagues gather around teacher Comfort Agboola to celebrate her Milken Educator Award. Comfort is a mentor to teachers and students alike at Poe Classical and districtwide. She seeks out resources and strategies that she can bring back to her peers in professional development workshops. Thanks to Comfort, students have access to unique opportunities to extend learning outside of the classroom. She has led a “tech day” collaboration with Microsoft, a podcasting club to build students’ speaking and writing skills, debate club, and Model UN.
