What's happening in Chino Hills? Tom Torlakson, superintendent of the California Department of Education, has arrived to celebrate the launch of Ruben S. Ayala High School's sensitivity training program in an all-school assembly packed with students, staff and visiting dignitaries. But there's another reason to celebrate: Torlakson introduces Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, who surprises English teacher Alexis King with the first Milken Educator Award of the 2017-18 season and $25,000!
