Katherine Watkins, You're a TN Milken Educator!

Veteran Milken Educators gather to welcome Katherine Watkins to the family. "This Award is a defining moment in your life," says Matthew Marlatt (TN '09, second from left). His giant Milken Award check still hangs on the wall in his classroom. Why? "Because the money goes, but that check tells students that I am going to deliver," he explains. Both Matt and Meah King (TN '11, second from right) keep "Milken memory boxes" with all the congratulatory notes they received from students and colleagues when they got their Awards. "Every time I feel discouraged, that box keeps me going."
