With tears in her eyes, third-grade teacher Tiffany Tynes Curry listens to cheers and applause from students and colleagues as she prepares to address the assembly gathered in her honor. Tynes Curry holds her students to high standards, and it pays off. Weinland Park's fourth-graders turn in the highest performance in the division cohort for math and science, a result in large part due to the foundation Tynes Curry lays when she has them the previous year.
