Colin DeGroot Wins New Mexico's Milken Educator Award

 

Science teacher Colin DeGroot enjoys a quiet moment after his surprise Milken Educator Award notification. In addition to his classroom duties, DeGroot heads the development of science curriculum and project-based learning at The ASK Academy. He also works with science and research educators across New Mexico as a Sandia National Laboratories fellow, leading a summer workshop series called POWER: Water and Energy Resources which gives educators innovative lessons and teaching techniques to bring back to their own classrooms.
