As assembled VIPs look on, Tennessee Department of Education Commissioner Kevin Huffman congratulates the students and staff of Athens City Middle School for the gains they’ve been making on math scores. What neither the students nor the staff suspect is that in a few minutes, he’ll announce the name of one of the teachers responsible for these gains as the newest Milken Educator from Tennessee.
