2014–15 Milken Educator Pinnings

 

 

Veteran Milken Educator Irene Gonzales (WA '94) had something very important to ask Karen Krantz (WA '14) in front of her class at Adams Elementary School in Spokane, Wash., May 8, 2015. 

"In front of her class and her teammate's class, I talked about Karen being an exemplary educator and asked them if they would give her gold would they? They all said, 'yes!' said Irene. "'What about a diamond?' They all said, 'yes!' So then I got down on my knee and 'proposed' asking her if she would accept my Milken pin and she said, 'yes!' It was a great moment!"
