Biographical Information

As an Senior Program Specialist for the Louisiana Teacher Advancement Program, Susan Couch assists with professional development in TAP schools and surrounding areas. She has been an educator for 26 years, working as a classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator, master teacher, and visiting lecturer at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. In addition to her current role, Mrs. Couch is a certified trainer for the Independent Investigation Method (research process for the classroom), Project Success Enrichment (creative writing program) and Kagan Cooperative Learning. In 2004, she received a Milken National Educator Award and has been a Louisiana TAP Executive Master Teacher. Mrs. Couch holds a master’s from McNeese State University. She is married and is the mother of three daughters.
