Reading specialist Pam Rettig's energy and expertise are helping the students at Will Moore Elementary School in Bismarck become fearless readers, strong problem-solvers and motivated learners. A certified national trainer in the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) program, Ms. Rettig encourages her students and colleagues alike to collaborate in using all the resources available to them-technology, poetry, puzzles, research and curriculum-to advance their understanding and knowledge. Ms. Rettig, who has taken a leadership role in the North Dakota Reading Association, is an internationally-recognized literacy presenter, and has also contributed her experience to a variety of state education committees.
