Biographical Information

Dr. Sandra Brady is a K-5 multi-age teacher and literacy specialist at Parson Elementary School in Las Vegas. She not only teaches effective reading and language arts techniques to children, but models the strategies for teachers as well, both in their classrooms and during curriculum meetings. Dr. Brady created a language arts program called Reading Wellness that is currently being used in several schools. She wrote and published a book called Let's Make Books on how to help children create books of their own writing, helping them become better readers, communicators, presenters and writers. Dr. Brady invites adults from a variety of careers to present their jobs to her students in a seminar format, relating in particular how reading, writing and math skills are used in their professions. Dr. Brady is chair of the Learning Improvement Team and chair of the Literacy Committee.
