Teacher Cyndi Boggs brings enthusiasm, expertise and creativity to her theme-based curriculum at Grapevine Elementary School in Madisonville. She has introduced several innovative approaches to instruction such as the Four-Block reading model and EveryDay Math. Her presentation to the school board on the Lightspan learning program persuaded them to implement the program district-wide. Mrs. Boggs has worked with the community to raise funds for a Character Counts program in two Hopkins County schools, and also scheduled Ronald McDonald as a guest for the program's kickoff. Due to her ability to translate theory into practice, she was selected as a trainer with the Kentucky Reading Project, for which she conducts reading workshops across the state.
