Biographical Information

Craig Lindvahl was appointed to the Illinois State Board of Education on February 2, 2015. Emmy Award winner Craig Lindvahl taught high school band and television production at Teutopolis High School in Teutopolis, Illinois. He and his students made music videos that were sent to every country in the world and netted replies from many world leaders. In addition to teaching, Lindvahl has produced a number of documentaries that continue to air on PBS stations around the country. These include They Served With Honor, A Time for Honor, Stories from Vietnam, An Uphill Climb - which focuses on the life of a disabled mountain climber—and A. Lincoln, Attorney at Law, which has been distributed to schools and libraries throughout Illinois. Lindvahl has won nine Emmys for his work on these films as a producer, writer, composer and cameraman.
