Shannon Hill catches her breath during a quiet moment in the gym after her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. In addition to her responsibilities at Thermopolis Middle School, Hill is active in the local community: She coordinates programs to encourage kids to run and be active, hosts Challenge Days to teach at-risk students how to self-reflect and make better choices, and volunteers with students and community members to deliver Meals on Wheels on Sundays.
