Sarah Vicini's Milken Award Surprise In Myrtle Beach, SC

 

 

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!  Teacher Sarah Vicini speaks with reporters and the Milken Family Foundation at her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. "When we're dealing with high schoolers, we are their last line of defense to prepare them for what sometimes is a very cruel and harsh world," she says. "Ever since college, I remember explaining that my reason for wanting to become a teacher is that I want to be able to provide that last line of support and protection. I want to make sure that they have every opportunity in front of them to be a successful person outside of a high school classroom."
