Chandler Smith with Milken Educators

Chandler Smith, principal of Plaquemine High School and Louisiana's newest Milken Educator Award winner, shares his exciting moment with veteran Milken Educators from years past. From left, Dr. Amanda Mayeaux (LA '03), visiting assistant professor at University of Louisiana at Lafayette; recipient Chandler Smith (LA '15); Vicky Condalary (LA '01), National Institute for Excellence in Teaching senior program specialist; and Dr. Gary Stark (AR '01), president and CEO of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. Condalary tells Smith, "When [Lowell Milken] found me in 2001, it was the start of something great, not only for me, but also for my colleagues."
