What's happening at Portsmouth Middle School? There's an all-school assembly everyone is buzzing about. The reason for the assembly became clear when Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprised seventh and eighth grade school counselor Kyle Spaltholz with a 2025-26 Milken Educator Award and $25,000! Rhode Island Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green joined the celebration to honor Spaltholz’s excellence in education in front of cheering students, colleagues, dignitaries and media.
