Juan Dominguez Receives 2023-24 Milken Educator Award in Von Ormy, TX

Juan Dominguez enjoys a quiet moment after his Milken Educator Award surprise. The master teacher went from earning an alternative teaching certificate to substituting and working his way through several aide and classroom teaching positions in Somerset ISD, and serving as a bilingual lead teacher. He continues his passion for bilingual education at Veterans Elementary as a member of the bilingual team and has facilitated a districtwide study of culture called “Feria Mundial."
