What's happening at Lakeside Primary? There's a festive assembly celebrating students' remarkable growth in literacy, and Louisiana Superintendent of Education Dr. Cade Brumley is on hand. But today's event also includes a surprise for one outstanding educator! When Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, presents first grade teacher Elise Frederic with a Louisiana Milken Award and $25,000, the day quickly becomes one Ascension Public Schools will never forget.
