Art Teacher Claire Smullen Joins DC Milken Educators

Art teacher Claire Smullen is stunned to learn that she is the winner of D.C.'s 2019-20 Milken Educator Award. In addition to regular art classes, Claire teaches theatrical set design and offers a full-year art therapy class for students with disabilities and autism, many of whom are nonverbal.
