Brian Allman Joins Milken Educators in WV

It's always special when West Virginia Superintendent of Schools Dr. Steven Paine and First Lady Cathy Justice pay a visit. Today's assembly at Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School is no exception. Dr. Paine is celebrating the school's new Intensive Care Unit student success program—but is there another reason he's here? All is revealed when the Milken Family Foundation, represented by National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Chief Executive Officer Dr. Candice McQueen, surprises social studies teacher Brian Allman with West Virginia's 2019-20 Milken Educator Award, the same honor Dr. Paine received in 1995.
