Principal Asia Cunningham, You're a NC Milken Educator

Pearsontown Elementary School Principal Asia Cunningham thinks North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction Catherine Truitt is visiting Pearsontown for today's assembly to celebrate the school's achievements. No one is more surprised than the principal herself when Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards takes the microphone and presents Principal Cunningham with a 2023 North Carolina Milken Award and $25,000. Principal Cunningham is the first-ever recipient in Durham Public Schools and the 2,945th Milken Educator recognized on the journey to our 3,000th Milken Award announcement.
