Danyel Smith visited Jane Fung's summer school class and introduced TK-5th-grade students to ASL, teaching students how to sign the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear.
“As an inclusion teacher, I’ve always used a little ASL to help all students communicate and participate. Watching Danyel teach my students was truly a gift. She not only introduced them to ASL but also engaged them in learning to sign a story. Observing her approach gave me the tools and inspiration to replicate and adapt the lesson to meet the needs of my students.
