As students and staff cheer and applaud, Melanie Cole walks to the front of the assembly to accept her Milken Educator Award. A special education teacher and transition coordinator, Cole works tirelessly with students and their families in an ongoing effort to connect them with post-secondary educational institutions, the military and local businesses.
