Jessica Cunningham Named 2015 DC Milken Educator

Cunningham believes the assembly has gathered to inaugurate KIPP DC College Prep's new building. Luckily, DC State Superintendent Hanseul Kang focuses her remarks on the facility and its new inhabitants. “This beautiful building is a celebration of you and all the work you and your teachers are doing,” she says. Noting that students have earned $8 million in scholarships to date, she says KIPP DC College Prep is “transforming students into scholars.” She then introduces Milken Family Foundation Chairman and Co-Founder Lowell Milken.
