Mike Milken, U.S. Senator Patty Murray, Mayor Marilyn Strickland and veteran Milken Educator Leonora Noble (WA ’98) hold up the $25,000 Milken Educator Award check. Nathan Gibbs-Bowling—the outstanding teacher it’s made out to—thanks his colleagues and students before dedicating this achievement to “the best English teacher” he knows: his wife, Hope Teague-Bowling, who also teaches at Lincoln High School.
