Fifth-grade science teacher Sarah Franko wasn't prepared to be the subject of today's surprise experiment, which was an intentional part of the scientific method employed by the Milken Educator Awards.
The formula for this photo: One part schoolwide assembly, one part lesson on teacher valuation, one part media coverage and one part $25,000 surprise.
Result: One amazing educator, incredulously honored and humbled.
