They’re called the “PS 28 Challengers” in honor of astronaut and teacher Christa MacAuliffe who perished in the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy; but they may as well be called the “PS 28 WINNERS” in honor of their many achievements under the care and guidance of the staff at PS 28, one of which will shortly be honored by the Milken Educator Awards.
