Biographical Information

Vincent Maniscalco retired in 2022, after 38 years of teaching. Mr. Maniscalco's professionalism is exemplified by the dress shirt, tie and dress pants he wears daily to Henry Mitchell Elementary School in Tampa, and his creativity can be seen on every wall of his first- and second-grade classroom, which is decorated with imaginative, stimulating visual aids. Mr. Maniscalco is the creator and coordinator of the annual Mitchell Mall, in which students learn real-world skills by developing, marketing and selling products, the profits from which they donate back to the school. A highly sought-after speaker, he has made numerous presentations at local, state, and national functions, including a Blue Ribbon Conference in South Carolina. Mr. Maniscalco served on the board of "Decisionomics," a quarterly newsletter on teaching economics published by the University of South Florida.
