Biographical Information

Dr. Trent Daniel graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. While teaching, she earned her Ph.D. from the University of Florida in Ed Leadership with an emphasis in School Law and Finance. She has been an educator in Seminole County Public Schools for twenty-seven years at Lake Mary High School, Winter Springs High School, Hagerty High School, Oviedo High School, Seminole High School, and Sanford Middle School. As a teacher, she was department chair at two different schools and served as the Seminole County Teacher of the Year, the Florida Science Teacher of the Year, Milken Educator, and the NEA Florida Teacher of the Year and national finalist. 

As an administrator, Dr. Daniel has been the principal’s designee and has overseen various programs the last several years including the reading and writing initiatives, athletics, and professional development. Dr. Daniel values “the Triple ‘A’ experience for students that emphasizes a balance of academics, athletics, and the arts.

Dr. Daniel has been married to husband, Jim Daniel, who is the V.P. of Friedrich Watkins Company, for twenty-two years. They have a daughter, Madison, a UCF graduate, and a son, Britton, who is a student-athlete in high school.
