Tracy Streeter is a fourth-grade teacher at Allbritton Elementary School in Hamburg. Previously, she developed an exemplary first-grade transition program at Nobel Elementary School in Hamburg that helped special needs children develop the skills they need for success in the first grade. Having been selected by the Southeast Arkansas (SEARK) Cooperative to establish a model classroom through its Problem-Based Learning Using Technology Program, Mrs. Streeter used video and multimedia technology to reinforce literacy learning. She also enlisted the aid of the local high school's Leadership Class, foster grandparents and AmeriCorps workers to provide one-on-one tutoring for her students in reading. Mrs. Streeter served as an Interim Professor at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, where she taught a class to prepare interns for a positive teaching experience.
