Principal Stephen Liddawi accelerated student achievement at all grade levels at Christopher Columbus School No. 15 in Elizabeth. He implemented a Success for All whole school reform model that resulted in significant increases in test scores and led to the school's being designated a model school in the Success for All publication. Mr. Liddawi's implementation of the model also helped the school achieve one of the highest levels set by the federal government in its "No Child Left Behind" legislation. Mr. Liddawi played an active role in the steering committee's acquisition of a Wallace Reader's Digest Foundation grant and was a member of the district's Division of Staff Development, Best Practices and Innovative Programs. He was an adjunct professor in Fairleigh Dickinson University's Alternate Route/Novice Teacher Preparation Program.
