Biographical Information

Rosemary Culverwell has been principal of F. W. Reilly School for 17 years. Through her efforts and those of her staff, the school received major public and private grants, including funding to free teachers for home visits. Ms. Culverwell oversees such innovative and enriching projects as a drama/creative writing program, after-school chorus and athletics, and Latin for seventh graders. She personally monitors all students reading and writing programs. Ms. Culverwell has been the recipient of numerous honors, including the Citizen's Schools Committee Outstanding Principal Award in 1987, the Whiman Award in 1990 and the Local School Council Illinois Bell-Ameritech Award in 1991.
