Patricia Davidson, English teacher at South Oldham High School in Crestwood, Kentucky, spent most of her teaching career in Connecticut, where she created programs to help students develop both academically and ethically. In her "Developing Interpretation through Dramatization" program, Mrs. Davidson's students explored social issues by presenting dramatizations of literary works to English students at all grade levels. Mrs. Davidson was also instrumental in designing the school's Human Relations Council, a committee of teachers dedicated to maintaining an ethical community within the school by means of such programs as "Challenging Tomorrow," which educates staff and students about issues of racial equality and community building. Her new responsibilities include serving as a cluster leader for Kentucky's Portfolio Assessment.
