Linda Bunch is well known and highly regarded for her community spirit. A teacher at Independence Valley Elementary School, a one-room school with students in grades one through eight in Elko County School District, she annually coordinates four or five events that involve the entire Tuscarora community. Ms. Bunch is particularly successful at developing writing skills in her students, and many of their pieces appear regularly in Nevada Young Writers, a statewide publication of students writing. Ms. Bunch improves her teaching skills and extends her own training by regular involvement in classes, workshops and seminars.
