Teacher Joyanne Hamilton uses the Internet to bring the world to her students at rural Innoko River School in Shageluk. Mrs. Hamilton's students participate in the Annenberg Foundation's "Journey North," an interactive program in which schools around the country use the Internet to trace the migratory patterns of various birds and mammals. Ms. Hamilton has been an active participate in the GLOBE program since 1996 which is a National Science Foundation-funded program that brings together educators with science professionals to STEM to students and create environmentally conscious people. She is also in the Principal capacity of her school.
